Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, the law requires Altruist Trust Co. & Fiduciary Services, Inc., like other financial institutions, to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each customer that opens an account.

What this means for you: When you open any type of account with us, we will ask for your legal name, address, tax identification number, and other identifying information that will assist us. We may ask for copies of a certified trust agreement, certified articles of incorporation, an unexpired government-issued license or business license, a partnership agreement, or other documents that indicate the existence and standing of the entity.
